Privacy policy
Last updated 2 November 2026
This policy explains what CloseDesk (closedesk.in) collects when you use the website and the app, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, work email, company name and a hashed version of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Work you put into CloseDesk: companies, close checklists, tasks, roles, reconciliations, invoices, parties, GST returns you upload, comments and attached files.
- Contact messages: what you send through the Contact page, with your IP address to limit abuse.
- Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and standard web server logs.
How we use it
- To run CloseDesk for you and the people in your account.
- To keep the service secure, find faults and prevent abuse.
- To reply to you and to tell you about changes to your account or plan.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use the work in your account for advertising.
Who can see your data
People in your account see the companies in that account, as their admin or staff access allows. CloseDesk’s platform administrator can open an account to help set it up or fix a problem. Our hosting provider stores the data on our behalf.
Cookies
CloseDesk uses one cookie, closedesk, to keep you signed in. It isn’t used for tracking. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. If you close your account, ask us and we’ll delete it, except where the law requires us to keep something.
Your choices
You can update your name, email and password under My account. To get a copy of your data, correct it or have it deleted, contact us.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above, and tell account admins about important changes.
